Description

The Irish Village and Jumeirah Creekside bring you a night of hilarious comedy featuring an Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman on Thursday 6 July 2017.

Barry Castaglona
Barr Castaglona describes himself as a comedian, actor, wind-up merchant, raconteur of amusing incidents and........no, that's about it to be fair.

Joe Rooney
Joe Rooney will forever be remembered for his role as Father Damo in the hit comedy series Father Ted.

Father Damo was to Father Dougal the kind of bad influence you try to keep your son or daughter away from but they will inevitably gravitate towards.

Father Damo wore an earring, smoked and stole and told his superiors they were, 'not the boss of me'.

Little did I know that twenty years later Father Ted is still the biggest influence on my professional life.

When people want to hire or book a comedian for a corporate event or party they book through the website and the first thing they ask is, 'can we book the comedian that played Father Damo?'

Mark Nelson
Since winning the inaugural Scottish Comedian of the Year Award in 2006, barely a year after his first-ever open-spot, Mark Nelson’s mix of dark humour, cutting observations and superb one-liners has seen him firmly established as one of the UK’s biggest-hitting comedy powerhouses.

With a likeable manner on stage belying some of the stronger content, Nelson often has audiences laughing at things they know they really shouldn't’t be laughing at.

A degree in Politics supports his brilliantly topical writing and, although his stand-up is certainly not for the easily offended, the material is intelligent, well conceived and beautifully crafted, all supported by a very confident delivery.

Staged at the ballroom in Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, this is a night of hilarious comedy that you will not want to miss.
